INTELI ANNOUNCES COLLABORATION WITH IBM ON ACADEMIC PROJECTS AND TECHNOLOGICAL STRUCTURE
Masterclasses for students and the supply of IBM technology for student initiatives are some of the benefits of the cooperation.
The Institute of Technology and Leadership (Inteli) will collaborate with IBM SkillsBuild to develop projects that support the academic path of students and teachers. As part of the initiative, the technology company will offer content, through masterclasses with specialists, from the IBM SkillsBuild program and participation in the development of students' projects, providing tools and mentoring from its specialists, as well as access to solutions for the institute's technological structure.
For Maíra Habimorad, Inteli's CEO, the collaboration reinforces one of the college's teaching pillars, which is to prepare its students for the job market by putting them in contact with large companies right from the start of the course. "Our project-based teaching methodology was developed to bring the university environment closer to the job market. Our collaboration with IBM Skillsbuild expands the possibility of training our students by allowing them to have contact with technologies that support their professional training," he explains.

The academic collaboration provides for the availability of materials and content in course modules made available through IBM SkillsBuild for students and teachers of Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science and Information Systems courses, on the topics of Cloud, AI and Data, Cybersecurity and Design Thinking, which will be a great support in the projects to be developed by the students. From an academic point of view, the cooperation strengthens professional training, giving students contact with the technologies of a company that is a benchmark in the market. The students will also have access to certifications from the learning paths, intensifying the experience and adding to their training and CV.
In addition to the academic side, Inteli will now rely on IBM technology in strategic areas of the institute with the aim of reinforcing its technological structure, starting with cybersecurity solutions and with projects under discussion for automating the management of the digital academic collection, governance and IBM Cloud for access management, as well as artificial intelligence solutions with Watson Assistant focused on virtual secretarial services and the construction of personalized class schedules to accompany students on their academic journeys.

Theory and practice go hand in hand
Inteli is the first college in Brazil to offer project-based teaching. Every semester, the institution opens a public call for companies, NGOs and the public sector to submit projects with real challenges in their operations that have the potential to be solved through the application of technology.
The managers of the partner organizations monitor the progress of the projects for ten weeks in fortnightly meetings with the students, in which they exercise technology skills, business skills and socio-emotional skills.
Divided into groups and with challenges according to their year of study, the students are able to apply the knowledge acquired in class to situations that are already connected to the needs of large companies in various segments. All of this is done so that the college can train professionals who are aware of the needs and difficulties of the market and who are able to use technology as a tool to solve them.
