Developed by the second-year Information Systems class, in collaboration with the company G2, the project presents a revolutionary methodology that promises to reduce the implementation time of SAP Business One, an essential tool for small and medium-sized companies, by more than 60%.
In a feat that highlights excellence and innovation in teaching, Inteli is celebrating the award of the first patent derived from a project by our students. Developed by the second-year Information Systems class, in collaboration with the company G2, the project presents a revolutionary methodology that promises to reduce the implementation time of SAP Business One, an essential tool for small and medium-sized companies, by more than 60%.
"The innovation developed by our students is testimony to the effectiveness of our project-oriented teaching methodology. This milestone not only reflects Inteli's academic rigor, but also reaffirms our commitment to preparing students to face and solve real market challenges", explains Maíra Habimorad, Inteli's CEO.
Challenges and lessons learned
For Professor Egon Daxbacher, one of the biggest challenges was adapting the teaching methodology to the complexity of this project. The students had to absorb and apply advanced technical knowledge normally expected of professionals in software houses.
"The market often points to a lack of practical skills, such as presentation skills and teamwork, as a significant gap. At Inteli, we focus on developing these skills from day one, ensuring that our students are technically proficient and exceptionally employable," adds Egon.
For student Maria Luisa Maia, the experience was a time of great professional and personal learning. "It was the project I learned the mostand I was also able to understand this transition between the academic world and the corporate world," she said.
The collaboration with G2 and the subsequent success of the project prove the importance of strategic partnerships between academia and industry.
